About Donna

Hello and thank you for visiting my website! My name is Donna Zinn, and I am a licensed clinical social worker and a certified eating disorder specialist. What this means is I have a master’s degree in social work and completed the licensing exam required to practice independently in the state of Indiana and bill for services. My eating disorder certification was obtained through the National Association of Cognitive Behavioral Therapists.

I am a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana and have enjoyed working and volunteering in the community for many years. I have over 14 of years experience in the field and have worked across age groups. My interest in eating disorders relates to personal experience and extends across the spectrum of weight related issues.

My approach to treatment is based in cognitive behavioral therapy with the strong personal philosophy that “we are our own agent for change.”  One of the most exciting aspects of facilitating therapy is when a client can see his/her way past an obstacle and toward an outcome of their own choice.

I have a strong connection to the outdoor experience and the role it plays in enhancing and improving mental health. I believe utilizing natural environments are incredibly valuable in engaging the ‘whole self’ philosophy of recovery.

If you would enjoy a calm and relaxing environment to address issues that are causing you distress or need a space to explore change, create new outcomes and improve your mental health, I welcome the privilege and look forward to hearing from you.
